In this two day training we will take a look at how to work with conflict in an embodied, enactive way. We will work through a sequence of movement dynamics and games that can be adapted in order to be used in our work with children and adults, either in an individual or a group setting. These dynamics offer you tools to work with clients on social skills like assertiveness (represented by ROCK) and empathy (represented by WATER) which can be used in dealing with conflict with peers, with authority or family members for example.
Rock&Water is a methodology developed in the Netherlands, used in primary and secondary education, prevention programs and therapy in order to increase social and emotional competency. The movement dynamics and posterior reflection help increase intrapersonal and interpersonal skills in a playful way.
Rock symbolizes strength, concentration, self-control and confidence. Water symbolizes flexibility, collaboration and trust.
Rock&Water training οffers a positive, solution-focused language to talk about conflict and can help build healthy group dynamics.
This two-day training will give you tools to work in a positive way with clients on social skills. We will move through the dynamics, and you will receive a guide with a description of the exercises which can be used in different settings (children, adults, individual and group work). Rock&Water will offer you a metaphoric language to talk about conflict resolution and help you reflect on your own strengths and challenges in your role as a therapist.
The training will be held in English.
